Palancar
It is located in the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, 13 km south of San Miguel and only 2 km from the coast. San Francisco
It is located in the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, at the southern part of the island, 11 km from downtown and about 2 km from the coast. The first part of this place is a vertical wall with inlaid coral and large yellow tube sponges hanging into the abyss. The depth advisable to admire the best view will be 18 to 37 m. The wall continues with a gentle slope almost like green and brilliant grass, where sometimes you can see large manta ray. The third section is like a mountain range that at 21 m is crossed by tunnels leading to a platform of sand only at 12 m.
Santa Rosa
It is located in the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, 9 km from San Miguel and about 2 km from the coast. It has depth levels ranging from 15 to 24 m, where it is the average of descent in diving, because further on, the reef drops away into a large abyss. When descending, some deep crevices of the wall provide shelters against the pull of the current. Along the wall you will find caves with soft gorgonian sea fans and big sponges.
Paraiso Bajo
It is located in the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, 3 km from San Miguel and about 2 km from the coast. This coral reef starts coming out of the Caleta lagoon northward and runs parallel to the coast almost until reaching the pier of the Maritime Terminal. The depth is ranging between 20 to 30 m wide and 1.6 km long, not exceeding 2 m in height and where it is common to find the whole family of parrotfish. Small caves and tunnels form the structure of the reef, which houses a varied and abundant marine life where you can practise deep sea fishing.
